Horatio Stamps

Posted on 12:56 by retino
Fellow fans, take a look at these Hornblower stamps I have unearthed! (Don't ask me how I found them- I'm still really not sure myself. It might have been when I googled 'Horatio Hornblower' to find a *decent* picture of him for my Top Ten Favourite Literary Heroes......which, by the way, is hopefully coming soon.  But a friendly word of advice, unless you have to- or really want to- I would recommend NOT exploring google images of a character, or actor, or whatever, whom you really like, because in case you didn't already know this, google is weird and you are liable to find out something you didn't really want to know.) Thankfully that wasn't the case this time, and I came across these lovely stamps. At least, I think they're stamps since they have the word 'stamp' written on them, but I'm not really sure if they're exactly real or not. I can only hope! And, of course, being the letter writer that I am, I hope I shall get my hands on some of them someday!
Most of them are pictures from The Wrong War and Retribution, save the ones of Clayton and Styles which are from The Duel. ( See, I know these things. ;)

(This is one of Archie's best moments! *swoon* That's enough, Emma.)

(If I may say, ugh. My sister Sadie just recently pointed out to me that this horrible fellow bears a striking resemblance to Bruce the shark in Finding Nemo, and I am inclined to agree.)

(Who would buy a Buckland stamp? Really?)

As I said, I'm really not sure if these are real and therefore I am inclined to think they are not, but I still think it would be very nice indeed to have some of them in my possession, as I think they are simply smashing. Especially the ones of Horatio and Archie, but that of course is to be expected, and now I will take Matthews' 'friendly word of advice' and shut it. :)

Very Truly Yours,

 Emma Jane
