John Keats ~ When I Have Fears

Hello everyone! As you may have noticed, there has been somewhat of a lack of posting this week- I've been awfully busy these past few days with all that summer brings and have not had much time to spare for posting. However, I do have a special post planned for the 27th- can anyone guess what it might be? : ) I'll give you a very broad hint:

(I realize that it is only if you've seen Somewhere in Time that you will recognize the significance of June 27th.) :P
 Anyway, today I have decided to share with you one of my favourite poems by one of my very favourite poets, John Keats.

~When I Have Fears~

  When I have fears that I may cease to be
  Before my pen has gleaned my teeming brain,
  Before high-piled books, in charactery,
 Hold like rich garners the full ripened grain;
 When I behold, on the night's starred face,
 Huge cloudy symbols of high romance,
 And think that I may never live to trace
 Their shadows, with the magic hand of chance;
 And when I feel, fair creature of an hour,
 That I shall never look upon thee more,
 Never have relish in that faery power
 Of unreflecting love, then on the shore
 Of the wide world I stand alone, and think
 Till love and fame to nothingness do sink. ~
